THE
ROYAL WEDDING
Blasted the royal
horn
Ushered in the
Duchess of Cambridge
With her tail of
eight foot running along
Her smile blazing
the screens of the world
The concerned and
the unconcerned
Watching in their
numbers on borrowed sets
Some twisting and
turning their wrists
To see the colourful
pictures on the web
The hungry child
forgets his hunger
And runs to see the
commoner take the royal vow
The beggar stroll to
the side street to feed his eyes
To leave a mark on
his memory
For his children
unborn to be told
To be told the day
when they stood for the change
A change the mother
never succeeded
A change that must
be for doom never repeated
